how to rip/import a WAV from a CD in itunes

It’s not hard, but it’s not entirely obvious.
The first thing you want to do is go to the “Preferences” menu option in iTunes
Something looking like this should pop up:
Next, select the “General” controls (if it is not already selected). It’s this button in the upper left:
In the General controls, you’ll see a button to click on called “Import Settings”:
Click on it and it will bring up this box:
Click on the “import using” drop-down menu and select “WAV Encoder”:
It’s set! Now whenever you import a CD, the files will come in as WAV without compression.
